Clare County Republican voters: Step up and represent your township or city at County Conventions (typically 4 times over a 2-year term)! You can also attend State Conventions if you choose. It's fun, impactful, and one of the best ways to start meaningful civic participation.
Every 2 years, precinct delegates are elected in every precinct across Michigan during the August Primary (next: August 4, 2026). Delegates help shape party platforms, nominate candidates, and drive conservative values at the county and state levels—no prior experience needed!
How to File – Key 2026 Details
- Submit a notarized Precinct Delegate Affidavit of Identity to the Clare County Clerk's office.
- Deadline: Must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 (no exceptions—late filings rejected even if postmarked earlier).
- Important Warning: County Clerks are often too busy to review forms thoroughly or notify applicants of errors, which can result in your name being left off the ballot. Double-check your form carefully!
